Jeff’s Bio
Artist Jeff Fulkerson has been creating stunning, imaginative jewelry for over 30 years.
“The creative process is what I enjoy most” says Fulkerson, “I love to be able to take an idea, make it take shape and see it come to life”.
A contributing artist to Lapidary Journal’s Jewelry Artist Magazine, his work has also been seen in Art Jewelry Magazine. Jeff is a recipient of the Courtney McGowan Design award as well as a blue ribbon award winner for his jewelry in design and construction at the San Diego County Fair. Some of his awards include Best Educational Exhibit, Coordinator’s Cup (2005 and 2009), and Best Single Jewelry Piece (2005, 2009, & 2013). His meticulous execution and attention to detail is becoming well known among industry professionals.
Jeff has taught at the Museum of Man in Balboa Park, Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, California, and at the J.O.G.S. show in Tucson. He currently teaches at the Bouncing Bead in La Mesa, CA and Oskadusa in Solana Beach, CA.
Jeff has licensed his patented Bead Bandit end cap to Beadsmith for distribution.
His latest projects include “One Hour Bracelets” instructional video for Jewelry Artist Magazine, as well as up-coming articles in Lapidary Journal and Art Jewelry Magazine. His jewelry is also featured on ImpressArt’s website.
A self-taught silver-smith with a background in construction and design, he counts himself fortunate to have studied with many great Native American artists in the last few years, most notably, Richard Tsosie, Navajo, Jesse Monogya, Hopi/Navajo and Michael Cheatham, Cherokee.
Born and raised in San Diego, California, Fulkerson received a business degree from ChicoState, and an M.A. from NationalUniversity. Together with his wife Roxanne, they started their jewelry company, Alden Jeffries Design in 2003.
