Heidi’s BIO
I’ve always had a passion for expressing my creative voice. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t create things. I felt compelled to turn my ideas into something tangible, something that could be touched or worn. Thus, my lifelong love of jewelry was born.
Thankfully, I grew up in a creative and inspiring family. Both my parents had hobbies and did multiple crafts. They encouraged me to join them or find a medium I liked to use. Between the two of them, they gave me plenty of tools and supplies to create my own one of a kind pieces.
Coming of age in such an artistically nurturing atmosphere allowed me to attack any medium or technique, fearlessly. I was taught there were really no mistakes, just experiences to hone your skills.
It’s that lesson, above all others I took to heart and like to share with my students:”Don’t be afraid to try something and make mistakes”.
